Tennis

The sport and lifestyle I fell in love with. After playing tennis for the high school team in my Eastern Kentucky hometown, I had the incredible opportunity to play collegiate tennis at the small liberal arts school in central Kentucky - Centre College. It was during this time I really started teaching the sport; I began working with local juniors in the area during my free time, even helping out at the local country club one of my summers on campus.

I am now a professionally certified and active teaching pro in Nicholasville, KY. I teach mainly at Bluegrass Racquet Club where my amazing coworkers and I strive to spread the game to as many people as we can.

Physics, Computer Science, Tech

I have always been intrigued by creating. I went into my undergrad physics program with the intent of pursuing engineering post-grad work. Somewhere along the way, I was introduced to programming. I realized that creating - to me - doesn't have to mean building large structures or sketching tool outlines, it can also mean graphic design, website creation, and mobile app development.

It can also mean creating relationships. My time as a tennis coach has thus allowed me to create every single day. Creating new bonds with my students, building my network, and developing social skills.

My Goal

Combining my unique athletic and academic background, I seek to allow others to benefit from my own personal experiences, observations, and thoughts. You'll find posts ranging from personal tennis experiences and coaching style all the way to my journey with mobile application development.
